A Tribute To Pranab Mukherjee

Pranab Mukherjee was born on 11 December  1935 in Bengal. His father Kamada Kinker Mukherjee was a member of the West Bengal Legislative Council and his mother's name was Rajlakshmi Mukherjee. He attended Suri Vidyasagar College and was affiliated to the University of Calcutta. He got their MA and LLB degrees from the University of Calcutta only. He was the 13th president of India and was awarded Bharat Ratna in 2019. He was an amazing leader and was very loyal to the Gandhi family.

In 1963 he got a teaching job in a college in Calcutta. In 1969 he won a seat in Rajya Sabha of the Indian Parliament. He was appointed in Indira Gandhi's Cabinet also in 1973. In 1986 Pranab Mukherjee founded another party named RSC.

Mukherjee's political career revived when P.V Narsimha Rao selected him as a deputy chairman of the Indian Planning Commission. In 2004 he won a seat in Lok Sabha and became the president of India. He was the first Bengali who became the president of India.

He became the president in West Bengal in 2000 until his resignation in 2010. In 2010 he was awarded as "Finance Minister of the year for Asia"

He got died on 31 August 2020 and was 84years old. He was found to be corona positive.
